Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with electrical systems, performing installations, troubleshooting, and providing technical support in various environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering and hands-on experience with various tools and technologies.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with NEC standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues in electrical systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation for system design and schematics creation.
- Collaborate on project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Engage in debugging and testing of electrical systems using tools such as oscilloscopes and ohmmeters.
- Implement programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation solutions.
- Work with FPGA, SoC, and surface mount technology for advanced system designs.
- Develop firmware for embedded systems using languages such as C++, Python, and Perl.
- Perform signal processing tasks to enhance system performance.
- Provide technical support for vision inspection systems and assist in manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including schematics and project reports.
Experience
Candidates should have a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles along with practical experience in the field. Preferred qualifications include:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design purposes.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as Simulink for system analysis.
- Experience with mechanical engineering concepts to support interdisciplinary projects.
- Knowledge of quantum engineering principles is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with soldering techniques and PCB assembly.
- Understanding of ARM architecture and related technologies is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving in complex environments.
