Maintenance Worker

From £28,000+ Dorset & Hampshire Full-time (40 hrs, M-F)

Must have a full UK driving licence

Join Beaufort Education and Care as we expand our children's residential homes across Dorset and Hampshire. We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Worker who enjoys varied, practical work and takes pride in creating safe, welcoming spaces for children and young people.

What you'll do

  • Daily multi-skilled maintenance: preparing work area, painting, decorating, plumbing, basic carpentry
  • Repairs, refurbishments and planned improvements
  • Both reactive and cyclical works, including emergency repairs
  • Grounds and building upkeep
  • Property inspections, Health & Safety duties
  • Work in children's homes with high safeguarding standards
  • Located daily at any of our 10 services in Southampton, Ringwood, Bournemouth, Poole and surrounding areas.

What you'll need

  • Strong practical skills across general maintenance trades
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and work independently
  • Good communication and professional approach
  • Awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people
  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
