We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This role involves supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with various accounting tasks. Duties
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Process invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and promptly
- Maintain organised financial records and filing systems
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
- Support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures
Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in a similar finance or administrative role is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is desirable
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £110.00-£125.00 per day
