Responsibilities

  • Assist children with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, providing emotional support and encouragement.
  • Communicate effectively with families, sharing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents that occur during shifts.
  • Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
  • Utilise IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare settings is highly desirable.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are crucial for interacting with children, families, and team members.
