To assist the owner in running a busy computer repair and retail shop, including assisting with customers' needs, diagnosing and repairing of computers and laptops, refurbishment of stock, selling new and refurbished desktop computers and laptops, online stock management, building new computers from individual components, and running the shop in the absence of the owner/other staff. To help the company grow its existing business customer base, whilst still offering excellent service to the general public. To visit customers on site where required.

Required skills and experience:

· Excellent overall knowledge and experience of desktop computer and laptop disassembly, reassembly, diagnosis and problem solving.

· Suitable knowledge of most Windows and Apple operating systems. Knowledge of iOS, Android and Linux also welcomed.

· Strong software and hardware diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

· Great customer service, sales experience and communication skills. Excellent spoken English is essential, fluency in Welsh also beneficial.

· Ability to work unsupervised and ability to manage time to prioritise work effectively – ability to multitask is essential.

Desirable (but not essential) skills:

· Experience in circuit board diagnosis and repairs - soldering components such as chips, ports and DC jacks.

· Mobile phone and tablet repairs.

· Experience and knowledge of enterprise networking, servers and telephony systems.

· Experience and knowledge of Office 365 and other major software releases.

· Proven experience in building, hosting and maintaining quality websites.

The successful applicant will be honest, trustworthy, bright, positive, punctual, professional, easily approachable and open minded, happy to learn and develop upon existing skills. The candidate will want to grow alongside the business, be able to use their own initiative and be very capable of following instructions. Capable of working as a team member but also alone. A full UK driving license is required for external work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
