We are looking for a highly organised and dynamic Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves support the team of account managers with any operational queries, also the direct scheduling and coordination of drivers, production department, warehouse and workshop team members plus any contractors, crew and agency workers, to ensure seamless planning and execution of internal and external work. You will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of operations, maintaining efficiency, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality service to clients.

GENERAL
- To act as an ambassador for the organisation continually
promoting our values and standards. - Where required to be available during weekends and out-of-hours where the needs of the business dictates
- Take care of the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
- Comply with all Company and statutory fire, health and safety regulations.
- To assist with other areas of the business, for example with sales functions and the wider group, if required outside the normal routine but within the overall scope of the position.
- Responsible for cost capture, invoicing and reporting
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Plan, schedule, and manage all logistics for event operators whilst working closely with the transport manager and Operations manager
- Plan, schedule, and manage the diary for drivers, production team, Warehouse Supervisor and Fleet Technician
- To book and schedule contractors, agency and support staff where required for the operational needs of the business.
- Adjust schedules dynamically in response to last-minute changes, ensuring operational continuity.
- To support the Operations Manager by providing day to day supervision of the operational department including the Managed Contracts and Projects implementation departments
- Serve as a key point of contact for operational staff, offering real-time support and direction, including out of hours
- Serve as a key point of contact on any operational queries or knowledge sharing for the accounts manager and commercial team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and teamwork across departments.
- Work closely with the transport manager to make sure vehicles are allocated as part of the schedule
- Work closely with all internal departments including Commercial, Projects, Managed Contracts and Production to understand upcoming requirements, operational needs, and pinch points.
- To align all schedules and diaries to make commercial sense when allocating labour and resource.
- Provide weekly operations updates to senior management, highlighting potential risks or staffing challenges.
- Ensure all operational changes and updates are communicated effectively to relevant team members.
- To ensure the team adhere to our meeting rhythms and form a weekly report to share in the team meeting also meet regularly with the Operations Manager to share updates and information requested
SKILLS & DESIRABLES
- Strong knowledge of event logistics, transport coordination, diary management
- Calm and decisive under pressure, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Preferred knowledge or understanding of commercial driving regulations and driver hours
- Experience with team leadership
- Great attention to detail and keen organisational skills
