Used Car Stock Controller

Full-Time | Permanent | North Oxford
Are you highly organised, commercially aware, and passionate about delivering first-class stock management? North Oxford Garage is looking for a Used Car Stock Controller to join our dynamic and fast-paced Used Car operation.
This is a key role supporting our Used Car Manager, ensuring every vehicle is processed, prepared, advertised and ready for sale to the highest BMW standards.
What You'll Be Responsible For:- Stock Intake & Vehicle Administration
- Booking in all used car arrivals including purchases, part exchanges and trade-ins.
- Checking documentation, keys, service history and accessories.
- Completing CAP/valuation checks and updating dealer management systems.
- Ensuring accurate processing and coding of invoices.
- Preparation & Workshop Coordination
- Raising and managing preparation ROs for mechanical and cosmetic work.
- Liaising with our service and SMART repair teams to maintain efficient workflow.
- Tracking each vehicle through preparation with a target turnaround of under 5 days.
- Reporting delays and issues to the Used Car Manager daily.
- Photography, Videos & Merchandising
- Online Advertising & Listing Management
- Pricing & Competitor Monitoring
- Aged Stock Management
- Stock Mix & Forecasting Support
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensuring every retail vehicle is fully compliant and sale-ready.
- Working with administrators to ensure complete sales files.
- Upholding GDPR, FCA and BMW brand standards.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience with dealer management systems (e.g., Kerridge, Pinnacle, Keyloop)
- Understanding of used car processes and vehicle preparation
- Digital advertising or merchandising experience
It would be advantageous to have:
- Ability to multi-task across multiple vehicles and deadlines
- Previous experience in a stock controller or sales admin role
- Auto Trader or i-Control proficiency
- Photography or digital media experience
- Knowledge of BMW products and options
