The purpose of the technical Product Lead is to manage our data and AI platforms, ensuring we build products that are technically excellent, commercially valuable, and delightful to use.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead product strategy for data and AI platform capabilities, ensuring we balance user needs, technical requirements and commercial outcomes
  • Define and maintain product roadmaps that guide the development of platform services
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements for engineering teams
  • Run discovery activities including research, data analysis and experiments to validate product direction
  • Establish and embed product practices such as OKRs, success metrics and continuous discovery
  • Work with commercial colleagues to identify and deliver monetisation opportunities for platform product
  • Provide coaching and guidance to product managers in your team
  • Act as the voice of the user for platform capabilities, making sure we deliver solutions that solve real problems

You'll work closely with engineering teams to shape and deliver platform capabilities, from data ingestion pipelines through to AI infrastructure. You'll partner with commercial teams to understand market opportunities and define how our platforms can drive value. You'll also collaborate with product leaders, designers and business stakeholders across Currys to ensure our platforms meet real user needs and deliver measurable impact.

You will need:

  • Experience in technical product management, ideally with data platforms, AI infrastructure or developer tools
  • Strong technical grounding with confidence to engage in architecture and API design discussions
  • Knowledge of the modern data stack and data engineering workflows
  • A track record of launching successful platform products that achieved adoption and impact
  • Analytical mindset, using data to inform decisions and measure outcome
  • Strong communication skills, able to work with technical and business stakeholders alike
  • Experience with agile delivery and modern product discovery approaches
  • Background in B2B or platform product management is desirable
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject, or equivalent experience
  • Product management certifications are beneficial
  • An MBA or business qualification is a plus
