Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in payroll systems and human resources management within a dynamic organisation. The ideal applicant will possess strong data entry skills, proficiency in various accounting software, and a solid understanding of human resources procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the full payroll cycle using systems such as Workday, HRIS, PeopleSoft, or QuickBooks.
  • Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
  • Process employee payments efficiently and accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Manage accounts payable related to payroll expenses and liaise with finance teams as required.
  • Maintain detailed payroll records and generate reports for management review.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and ensure compliance across all processes.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies or employee queries promptly.
  • Support human resources functions by providing relevant payroll data for audits or reporting purposes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with payroll software.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and data entry procedures.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and analysis skills for financial reconciliation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Prior experience in human resources or payroll administration is preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities efficiently. This role is ideal for candidates who are meticulous, proactive, and eager to contribute to a well-organised payroll function within a professional environment.

Pay: £12.75-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 3.5 per week
