Position:
Accounts assistant (Credit Controller)
Accounts assistant with a primary focus credit control.
However, will also be expected to assist the finance function in general (accounts receivables & accounts payable) with general day-to-day support assisting with other miscellaneous administrative duties within the finance department
The role is preferred for a 3- or 4-day working week (salary will be on a pro-rata basis)
The Company:
The "MAXA" brand was born in 2023 from the merge of two extremely successful companies (ATE & Trailparts). The merge went live on 1st March 2025 with the sole purpose of becoming the No.1 choice for compact construction equipment wear parts in UK & Ireland.
MAXA helps its customers consolidate their parts supply, control procurement decisions and maximise equipment uptime
The main warehouse is based in Watford, additionally supported with an office at the same venue. There is also an additional office in Colchester
Location:
On-site (with some flexibility for hybrid working);
- Watford Office (Preferred), or, Colchester Office (Hythe)
The role;
The successful candidate will primarily drive the credit control aspect of the accounts receivable function. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to help and support accounts payable with ad-hoc tasks and also support the overall finance function with wider administrative tasks.
The candidate will be joining a highly driven and motivated team (and also a very nice team) to ensure the finance function supports the wider business as best as possible and ensure maximum efficiency
Duties will include (but not limited to);
Credit control
Reconciliation of bank reconciliation
Assisting with processing daily cash receipts
Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
Other ad-hoc finance tasks (When required)
Experience and requirements;
Credit controller / accounts assistant – Min. 1 year
An enthusiastic and well organised individual who is able to work to strict deadlines whilst paying attention to detail, working both as an individual and as part of a team.
You will have strong interpersonal skills to be able to deal with external customers daily
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
