Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Deliver treatment room services including: Chronic disease management (asthma, COPD, diabetes reviews and personalised care plans). Womens health services cervical screening (smears), contraceptive advice, and assisting with IUCD/IUS fittings. Childhood immunisations and travel vaccinations. Health promotion and disease prevention (lifestyle advice, smoking cessation).

Wound care and management (dressings, suture removal). Minor procedures assisting with minor surgical interventions within competence. Patient Health Checks conducting NHS Health Checks and Learning Disability Health Checks as per national guidance. Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnose, and prescribe safely within scope of practice (if qualified).

Leadership & Governance Cervical Screening Lead- Ensure compliance with NHSCSP standards. Monitor sample adequacy and coverage. Maintain audit and training records. Infection Prevention and Control Lead- Conduct audits and implement action plans.

Ensure adherence to national IPC guidance and CQC requirements. Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Teaching & Mentorship: Support students and trainees as part of our teaching practice ethos. Safeguarding: Ensure safeguarding policies are followed and concerns escalated appropriately.

Documentation & IT Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS templates Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards. Cold Chain Management: Ensure safe vaccine storage and handling. Probation and Performance Probation period-3 months. Performance objectives Complete induction and demonstrate competence in treatment room duties.

Establish cervical screening audit and IPC audit schedule within first 3 months. Maintain compliance with practice protocols and national standards.
