Term Time Only +3 Cleaning Days

  • Rate of Pay: £15.31 per hour (£18,530 per annum)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 27.5 hours per week
  • Location: Stevenage, Hitchin and surrounding area's.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travelling to Stevenage Hitchin and surrounding area's to provide Kitchen support services within our Primary schools.
  • Prepare and cook meals, including catering for special dietary needs
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas
  • Manage stocktaking and ordering of supplies
  • Maintain and monitor budgets effectively
  • Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Management System
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations
  • Serve meals to students and staff
  • Utilise IT systems for daily operations
  • Foster positive relationships within the school community
  • Motivate, develop, and support staff to reach their full potential

Ideal candidate

  • Must have a valid driving license, business insurance and access to your own vehicle to fulfil the role requirements.
  • Must have previous catering/Kitchen experience
  • Have a positive attitude and be a great team player
  • Able to lead and motivate a team
  • Food hygiene level 2 (preferred)
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
