School Cook Manager – Lead, Cook, and Make a Difference
£1,000 Joining Bonus (T&Cs apply)
Pay:£13.63 per hour (£16,489 per annum)
Hours: Monday to Friday – 27.5 hours per week
Contract: Term Time Only + 3 Cleaning Days

Now we're looking for a Cook Manager to lead our kitchen in Trotts Hill Primary School and help us keep raising the bar.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where your skills in the kitchen and with people will shine. You'll:
- Prepare and cook tasty, healthy meals, including for special dietary needs
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and well maintained
- Manage stock, place orders, and stay on top of budgets
- Ensure food safety and health & safety rules are followed at all times
- Serve meals to students and staff with a friendly, welcoming approach
- Use simple IT systems to keep everything running smoothly
- Build great relationships across the school community
- Motivate and develop your team to reach their full potential
About You
We're looking for someone with both culinary know-how and leadership skills. You'll need to:
- Have previous catering or kitchen experience
- Enjoy working with – and leading – a team
- Bring a positive, can-do attitude
- Understand basic health and safety practices
- Hold (or be willing to gain) a Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification
- Be reliable, punctual, and well organised
