About us

The Coach and Horses, Upper Tything, Worcester is a small community pub on the outskirts of the city centre and we are looking to recruit a bar staff team member to work 12 hours per week. These will be 2 x 6 hour shifts at weekends on a pro rata shift basis.

Responsibilities -

You must be over 18 years of age and willing to work weekends.

You will be a key holder which carries the responsibility of opening and closing the business and the ability to work the bar alone during quiet times.

Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Take orders and serve food and beverages to our customers. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area. Monitor customers behaviour and ensure responsible alcohol consumption. Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register. Bar open and close down and cleaning.

Qualifications -

Previous experience in hospitality or customer service role. Preferred previous bar work experience however we are willing to train. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of food and beverages. Familiarity with bartending techniques, including mixing drinks and garnishing. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Self initiative and the ability to problem solve, multi task and work alone when required.
