Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operation during service hours
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
  • Manage food production schedules to meet customer demand efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • Assist in developing new menu items in conjunction with the culinary team
  • Handle customer feedback related to food quality and resolve any issues promptly

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hotel setting
  • Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management capabilities
  • Extensive culinary expertise, including knowledge of various cooking techniques and food presentation
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Leadership qualities that motivate and inspire team members to deliver their best performance
  • Good understanding of food production processes and hospitality operations
  • Experience working in restaurant or hotel environments, including barista or serving experience considered advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and customer service excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
