Resident Liaison Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Resident Liaison Officer to join our team as a Contractor in the Halifax Area. As a Resident Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for fostering positive relationships between our organisation and residents. Your primary focus will be to ensure effective communication, address residents' concerns, and achieving good access levels. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to handle challenging situations.
Responsibilities:
Resident Communication: Establish and maintain regular communication channels with residents to provide updates on project developments, timelines, and any potential disruptions. Respond promptly and courteously to residents' inquiries and requests, ensuring all concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Promote effective communication with tenants to organise works on their property.
Resident Support: Act as a liaison between residents and our install teams, facilitating coordination and collaboration. Provide guidance and support to residents regarding the works being completed and why they are effective and important.
Community Engagement: Develop and implement community engagement initiatives to foster a sense of community and encourage resident participation. Organise and facilitate meetings, and events to address specific concerns, promote resident involvement, and gather feedback.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of resident interactions. Prepare regular reports highlighting key trends, concerns, and suggestions raised by residents, providing recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or housing industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage with diverse groups of individuals.
- Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a diplomatic approach.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of housing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient computer skills, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
