The role

The Front of House and Event coordinator will play a key role in making Graphcore's Bristol office an outstanding place to work, visit, and do business. You'll be the first point of contact for employees and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service and setting the standard for a welcoming, professional environment. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for the operations of our front-of-house and canteen facilities, ensuring they are well-stocked, maintained to a high standard and compliant with UK food safety legislation. You'll lead a team of baristas/welcome hosts, coordinate internal events and business hospitality, and manage multiple breakout areas, conference rooms, and kitchenette spaces across the office. 

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with external catering providers to deliver high-quality food and beverage services, ensuring all catering services comply with UK food safety and hygiene regulations and HACCP legislation 
  • Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and workplace events, maintaining accurate records and processes related to hospitality and FOH operations
  • Train and onboard new FOH team members, maintaining agreed standards of personal presentation and professionalism. Coordinate team briefings and provide clear guidance to ensure smooth daily operations 
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies
  • Maintain the barista and canteen areas to a high cleaning standard, operating and maintaining coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment, ensuring regular cleaning and servicing
  • Plan and manage perishable goods and stock levels in line with budget and operational needs
  • Attend training courses as required to stay up to date with food safety, hygiene, and service standards
  • Report any accidents and equipment malfunctions to facilities manager immediately

Essential skills

  • Proven experience in front-of-house, hospitality, and event management 
  • Strong leadership and team oversight capabilities 
  • Skilled in vendor coordination and stakeholder engagement 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving abilities 
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented 
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks 
  • Comfortable working independently and under pressure 
  • Flexible and reliable, with willingness to support out-of-hours events 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) 

Desireable skills

  • Experience in a tech or corporate environment is a plus
