Operations & Events Lead

Full-time | Edinburgh (Hybrid)

Salary: £38,000–£45,000

egg is a leading community for women in Scotland, connecting members through events, content, partnerships and a growing membership platform.

As the business enters its next phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced Operations & Events Lead to take ownership of event delivery and strengthen the operational foundations of the organisation.

This is a senior delivery role suited to someone who is highly organised, confident taking ownership and experienced in running events or programmes within a growing business. You will work closely with the Founder and team to turn ideas into well-executed plans and ensure events are delivered professionally, efficiently and profitably.

The role

  • Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of all egg events and programmes, including Women on Top events, the annual Summit and regional tours
  • Build and manage event timelines, budgets and delivery plans
  • Coordinate venues, speakers, sponsors, suppliers and freelancers
  • Ensure events run smoothly and meet quality and commercial targets
  • Build repeatable systems and processes to support scale and consistency

Operations and delivery

  • Translate ideas and strategy into clear, executable plans
  • Monitor progress against deadlines and manage risks proactively
  • Improve internal systems, workflows and ways of working
  • Act as a central point of coordination across the team

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to support effective event promotion
  • Brief and manage external suppliers and contractors
  • Keep the Founder informed with clear updates, escalating issues with solutions

About you

  • Minimum five years' experience in events, operations or programme delivery
  • Experience working in a scaling SME or fast-paced organisation
  • Strong organisational, planning and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
  • Calm, proactive and solutions-focused
  • Commercially aware with strong attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Experience in membership, media or community-led organisations
  • Experience managing freelancers or small teams
  • Experience supporting sponsorship-led or partnership-driven events
