Role Purpose
To provide admin, process and functional support to the consulting team (consulting managers and associates, consulting operations) to maximize the time consultants can spend interacting with clients. To maintain and improve operational processes as directed by global consulting leadership in support of client centric activities & processes.
Main Responsibilities
Providing first-class support to consultants including but not limited to:
- Building a high level knowledge of internal systems, tools and processes striving for identify and implement continuous improvements to all.
- Act as the conduit of information and validation between consulting and internal functions in WoodMac
- Managing the process for entry and maintenance of data in companies internal systems, ensuring the highest possible level of data accuracy through lead and project lifecycles Acting as an intermediary for all issues arising during the quote-to-cash process, communicating effectively with all parties involved (consultants, management, ops, legal, finance etc)
- Effectively managing invoicing details, payment terms and accuracy in T&Cs of all live projects
- Manage revenue generating activities including ensuring timesheets are submitted in a timely manner, collecting and analyzing information about projects with low revenue burn or projects in overrun, providing input to local managements and central operations
- Producing and reviewing reports to support revenue and sales forecasting activities
- Coordinating and supporting review processes (associate project reviews, annual associate reviews)
- Acting as a first point of contact for new hires, supporting their integration into the team and introducing them to relevant processes and systems and where support is provided
- Continuously supporting the introduction and implementation of new tools and initiatives
- Acting as a natural first point of contact for all questions regarding systems, tools and processes
- Providing additional ad-hoc support with projects as defined by management and global operations, working autonomously to manage processes from opportunity creation to project closure, giving direction to other team members as required and maintaining communications with all stakeholders
- Supporting the organization of, and attending, team meetings and events
Requirements
- 3-5 yrs experience working with operational/financial/admin procedures
- Consulting Business Experience
- Knowledge of finance and accounting processes
- Professional and confident in engaging client stakeholders
- Great organization skills and prioritization skills
- Good self management and an ability to operate with independence
- High level of motivation, urgency and desire for efficiency
- Attention to detail and data accuracy – ability to catch exceptions quickly and resolve
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite; specifically Excel, Sharepoint and Powerpoint
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions
- Good numeric analytical skills
- Fluent business level command of English if other language is first language
- Project management experience preferred
- Competency with Salesforce and Oracle preferred but not essential
