About Enterprise Northern Ireland
Enterprise Northern Ireland (ENI) is the representative and support body for the local enterprise agency network and a driving force behind entrepreneurship, business development, and local economic growth across Northern Ireland.
Our mission is to support and develop more and better start-ups, sustainable businesses, encourage innovation, and provide essential services to support entrepreneurs and small businesses across the region.
Role Purpose
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Project Support Assistant to support the delivery and growth of eConX, Enterprise NI's new enterprise support platform, and wider organisational projects.
eConX is a digital platform designed to support entrepreneurs, business owners, and start-up communities across Northern Ireland. The platform connects users with programmes, events, workspaces and local business support tailored to their needs and selected interests, helping them grow, innovate, and succeed at every stage of their business journey.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, digitally confident, and eager to build a career in the enterprise and business support ecosystem. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support with platform management, outreach, content upload, and project administration - ensuring entrepreneurs and small businesses across Northern Ireland have access to up-to-date opportunities, resources, and connections.
This role would be well-suited to a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong IT and communication skills who is keen to gain experience in the enterprise sector.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the day-to-day management of Enterprise NI's digital enterprise support platform (eConX).
· Research, upload and maintain relevant platform content.
· Ensure content is accurate, relevant, and user-friendly.
· Assist with outreach to businesses, partners, and stakeholders to gather information, offers, and promotional opportunities for the platform.
· Research available workspaces, services, and initiatives across the Local Enterprise Agency (LEA) network and ensure visibility on eConX.
· Support engagement campaigns to promote eConX.
· Assist with collating contacts, maintaining databases, and supporting CRM development.
· Work closely with the Senior Project Coordinator and wider Enterprise NI team to ensure smooth delivery of activities.
· Provide updates on progress and help identify opportunities for improvement.
· Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post as may be required.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
· Third-level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as business, IT, communications, or related field, and/or at least three years' relevant experience in a similar role.
· Strong IT skills, including confidence in learning and working with online platforms, databases, and digital tools.
· Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria
· Experience using content management systems (CMS) or digital platforms.
· Knowledge or interest in the enterprise, entrepreneurship, or business support landscape in Northern Ireland.
· Experience in research, data handling, or outreach.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Access to suitable transport / full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
What We Offer
· Opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive organisation making a meaningful impact on entrepreneurship in Northern Ireland.
· Professional development and training opportunities.
· Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
· Employer pension contribution.
