Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while managing staff, food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, as well as the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and employees.

Duties

  • Supervise daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food production
  • Manage and train staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting teamwork
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations
  • Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed
  • Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the café, including kitchen areas and dining spaces
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction
  • Implement promotional activities to enhance café visibility and attract new customers

Skills

  • Proven experience in supervising or managing a team within a restaurant or café setting
  • Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management
  • Experience in hospitality with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Familiarity with barista skills is advantageous
  • Previous kitchen experience is essential; hotel experience is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
