Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Housing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing housing related administrative tasks, assisting tenants, and ensuring smooth communication between residents and management. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and a passion for providing exceptional service within the housing sector. The Housing Officer will utilise their experience with care support systems, office procedures, and data entry to support the organisation's housing operations effectively.

Duties

  • Manage tenant records and update information accurately using care support software.
  • Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing tenant queries and providing information as needed.
  • Assist prospective tenants through the application process, including data entry and document verification.
  • Conduct regular inspections of houses and record findings systematically.
  • Support the residents living at the property.
  • Promote our services or upgrades to tenants, employing upselling techniques where appropriate.
  • Organise and maintain filing systems, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and service requests efficiently.
  • Prepare reports on occupants, also keep a record of incidents that take place.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with property management.
  • Previous office experience with strong organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Must have knowledge of the UK lettings process and documents compliance.
  • Administrative experience in a customer facing environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to upsell additional services or upgrades in a courteous manner.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

Pay: £24,420.00-£42,318.14 per year
