We are recruiting for Wet Laundry Operatives & Delivery driver to working 40 hours per week (Incl Saturday & Sunday) at our Russell Square location.

Our Laundry service – Impress Bespoke Laundry - located at the Royal National Hotel provides washing services for our 8 Imperial London Hotels and other hotel brands across central London. We are committed to providing a green, sustainable and reliable service through investing in the best machinery to lead the way for sustainable laundry process.

You'll split your time between the road and the laundry floor, ensuring every item is collected, cleaned, pressed and returned on time and to perfection. If you've worked as a previous laundry hand or operator then that is great. We'll ensure you have full training to show you how to perform all duties of the role and safely using the laundry equipment. What we'd like from you is a positive attitude, your hard work and commitment to do a great job but most importantly working together as a team player.

Driving & Logistics

Safely drive company van to collect laundry orders from client sites across Central London (Zone 1 & 2).

Deliver soiled items to our Impress depot for processing.

Return freshly cleaned, pressed and folded laundry to clients within agreed turnaround times (same-day or next-day).

Perform pre-journey safety & maintenance checks on the vehicle (tyres, lights, fluids, cleanliness).

Immediately report any vehicle issues to the Wet Cleaning Manager.

Laundry Operations

Handle all client laundry with care, including uniforms, guest linens, tablecloths and specialist items.

Operate industrial washing, drying and pressing machines safely and efficiently.

Manually fold and pack items to the highest presentation standards when required.

Follow instructions from the Shift Manager / Laundry Manager to meet daily targets.

Manually handle trolleys and laundry bags (up to 25kg – full manual handling training provided).

Health, Safety & Standards

Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation in all work areas.

Report instantly any laundry faults, missing items or equipment malfunctions to your line manager.

Keep all laundry areas and equipment safe, clean and tidy at all times.

Observe all company security procedures (keys, access, client property, depot protocols).

What we would like from you

Clean, full UK driving licence (held for 2+ years) – essential (you'll drive daily in London traffic).

Comfortable with physical work - lifting, pushing trolleys, standing for shifts.

Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering spotless results.

Reliable, punctual and calm under pressure - clients depend on your schedule.

Basic numeracy & literacy (for logs, checklists and client notes).

No experience required – full training given. Previous driving, laundry or hospitality experience is a bonus.
