Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, specialising in both residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and finishes, and delivering high-quality decorating work. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to a variety of projects across the region.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Use brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised tools to achieve desired effects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout each project.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and deliver results that meet specifications.
- Manage materials efficiently to minimise waste and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
- Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills to interpret project requirements accurately and provide updates as needed.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Organised approach with attention to detail to produce high-quality finishes.
- Physical fitness to carry out manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights safely. This role is ideal for dedicated professionals eager to showcase their decorating skills while contributing to diverse projects across the region.
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £13.45-£21.19 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
