Band 8 - £32,377 - £34,859 TTO (£36,363 £39,151 FTE) for level 4/5 qualified tutor
Hours: Full time,37 hours per week working Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm Friday 8.30am to 4pm. To be worked TTO 40 weeks
Part time hours working full days will be considered.

The Community Learning Service (CLS) seeks to secure a high-quality community learning programme which meets local need. The programmes focus on widening participation, developing communities, improving health and well-being, increasing skills and supporting personal progression.
Your New Role
Join Portsmouth City Council's Community Learning Service as a tutor delivering engaging and inclusive workshops focused on digital skills and employability. Based at The Learning Place, you'll design and deliver tailored learning experiences, assess learner progress, and contribute to curriculum development. You'll also support learners with advice on progression, maintain high-quality records, and help shape the service through learner feedback and partnership development.
Who is the person?
You will be a qualified adult tutor with a minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) with a minimum level 2 qualification in English and maths, and ideally subject-specific qualifications. You will bring experience in embedding Maths, English, digital skills and employability into delivery.
You will have experience of working with awarding organisations and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the Education Inspection Framework and how that impacts on classroom practice.
