Are you ready to take on an exciting role which involves ensuring the success of our tenders and proposals? At Leonardo Helicopters in Yeovil, we are looking for an organised and motivated Bids and Proposals Officer to join our dynamic team and lead the preparation, management, and delivery of proposals.

You will need to be a confident communicator with a flair for writing and an eye for detail as you play a key part in helping us win new business opportunities by effectively managing activities and resources throughout the various phases of the bidding process.

For awareness of internal applicants: This role is a JFF level 4.

What you'll do as a Bids and Proposals Officer

Bid and Tender Management:

• Preparation, Management, and Delivery of Proposals: You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of bid and tender processes, from initial preparation to the final submission of offers.

Preparation of Commercial Offers:

• Documentation Coordination: Collaborate with various teams to compile and prepare comprehensive documentation, covering project management, technical aspects, manufacturing, finance, planning, contracts, suppliers, offset, and timelines ensuring a collaborative and efficient workflow.

Approval and Signing of Commercial Offers:

• Proposal Approval: Plan and facilitate the approval process for proposals.

What you'll bring

• Excellent communication skills to liaise across functional departments
• Pro-active, able to work using own initiative to achieve deadlines
• Ability to build an effective professional network both virtually and in person
• Experience working in a structured environment, following processes

Desirable:

• A degree or equivalent in a business-related subject area
• APMP/ APM Certification
• Defence/ aerospace industry experience

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
