Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed. The Care Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support clients in social activities and community engagement to promote their independence.
  • Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in English.
  • Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining client records and care plans is advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence is required for this position.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
