About the role
The Campaign Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing packaging marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with organisational goals, drive growth for the business, and effectively engage target audiences. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-impact marketing campaigns that drive both reputational and commercial growth. Working cross-functionally to deliver within an 80/20 strategic framework, you will ensure that all campaign activity aligns with business objectives and delivers targeted, efficient, and measurable results. You will develop, execute, and oversee comprehensive marketing channel strategies that enhance our brand presence, and drive continuous improvement in our customers journeys.
Key to success is the ability to have a data-first mindset that drives constant assessment of our campaigns against campaign ROI/ KPIs. Collaboration with our category, innovation, sales, and design teams will be essential to ensure our marketing efforts meet both business goals and customer expectations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide a talented marketing team, inspiring innovative and effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the creation and deployment of integrated campaigns that support brand reputation and generate qualified opportunities. Ensure campaigns are aligned with strategic business goals, internal stakeholders, and the 80/20 prioritisation model
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure campaign messaging is understood and adopted across the business
Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the way we take our message to market
Take ownership of the optimisation of the delivery of our message across the marketing customer journey - deliver a strategy to ensure DS Smith is top of mind at the moments that matter, and is serving messages that the customer needs - when they need them
Develop a content strategy that supports the online, and offline, buyer journey and which is aligned to the wider business objectives
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and craft compelling stories that bring our value propositions to life, creates a differentiated position to competitors, and enhances our reputation for growth
Lead the development of audience segmentation and profiling to inform campaign targeting consistently across all channels and campaign deployments. Use insights to refine targeting and improve campaign relevance and return on investment
Deliver paid and organic advertising campaigns, in collaboration with Digital Marketing teams, across platforms such as Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, and through SEO, PPC and CRM activations
Establish a data-led framework to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of marketing communications across all campaign types and within our sub-regional teams. Monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement in campaign and content strategies
Own and manage the Marketing Communications budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources in line with business priorities.
About You
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
Experience in marketing communications and campaign deployment, ideally within a B2B environment, with proven management capability
Proven track record of developing and executing multi-channel campaigns across diverse markets
Strong background in creative storytelling and content development within complex business environments
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to interpret value propositions into customer focused content
Creative mindset, able to think outside the box and bring innovative ideas to marketing campaigns
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market insights to drive decisions for optimisation of campaigns
Familiarity with campaign related execution and management tools, such as Optimizely and Dynamics
Experience of defining, reporting and presenting against KPIs
Collaborative and confident communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders across functions and regions
Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
