Role Overview

Position: Education & Wellbeing Support Worker/Tutor (Field-Based)

Organisation: The Dare2Dream Foundation

Location: North Oxfordshire

Type: Permanent – Full-time or Part-time

Schedule: Term time + 1 week | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

This role supports young people's education, wellbeing, and mental health through home visits, outreach, and sessions at post-16 hubs. You'll work closely with Post-16 Leads to ensure quality provision, positive outcomes, and personal development support.

Purpose

To deliver high-quality learning sessions and pastoral support tailored to individual learners' needs—helping them build confidence, achieve qualifications, and develop personally and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver ASDAN and Functional Skills sessions.
  • Provide pastoral and emotional wellbeing support.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate bespoke learning programmes.
  • Track progress, attendance, and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with learners, parents, and professionals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and compliance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential learner records.
  • Act as a role model and safeguarding champion

Team & Collaboration

  • Work within a local team supporting young people's holistic needs.
  • Liaise with employers, families, and external professionals.
  • Attend internal and multi-agency meetings.
  • Share best practice and contribute to team development.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 3 qualification (minimum) in Youth Work, Counselling, Education, Mental Health, or related field.
  • Experience working with young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering and assessing learning at secondary/post-16 level.
  • Full clean driving licence and ability to travel across North Oxfordshire.
  • Excellent record keeping and report writing (GDPR compliant).
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Desired

  • Level 4+ qualification or a teaching qualification.
  • 2+ years' experience with vulnerable or complex-needs youth.
