Now, we're looking for a dynamic Innovation Specialist to join our team in Launceston and help drive the development of next-generation electrocatalysts and coatings for green hydrogen production.

Your Role in Our Vision

As an Innovation Specialist, you'll be a key player in a cross-functional team, leading the charge from market insight to mid-stage product readiness. You'll combine scientific expertise with strategic thinking to identify unmet needs, develop breakthrough technologies, and ensure our innovations are both commercially viable and environmentally impactful.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Spearheading the development of electrocatalysts and coatings for green hydrogen applications.
  • Translating market trends and technical insights into high-potential product concepts.
  • Driving projects from ideation to TRL/MRL 6 using robust stage gate processes.
  • Conducting lab-based testing to evaluate performance, durability, and scalability.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, business development, and external partners to bring innovations to life.
  • Showcasing thought leadership through whitepapers, technical presentations, and internal training.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, Six Sigma, COSHH, and IP/export control standards.

What You Bring

  • A degree in a STEM discipline (postgraduate in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • Proven experience in electrochemical materials, hydrogen fuel cells, or electrolysers.
  • Expertise in catalyst and coatings formulation, synthesis, and testing.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
  • A strategic mindset, with a passion for innovation and sustainability.

This role involves working in an environment where certain materials may pose a health risk to individuals who smoke tobacco or nicotine products. For health and safety reasons, this role is only suitable for non-smokers. (Inc. e-cigarettes)
