Opportunity
We're looking for a Head of Audit – Operations and Professional Practices at Tesco Insurance and Money Services.
Reporting to the Head of Audit (SMF5), you'll have ongoing exposure to Tesco Insurance and Money Services leaders & stakeholders, representing the function at key programme governance and ensuring that the Audit function deliver timely and impactful assurance and insights to the business. This is a Certified role under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime.
The Role

• Leading the risk assessment, plan development and execution of Internal Audit's assurance delivery, overseeing audit reviews in line with the International Professional Practices Framework and Audit Standards.
• Managing key stakeholder relationships across the business and leading a team of Audit professionals in the delivery of our audit strategy and plan.
• Reporting on internal audit matters to the appropriate committees, ensuring that recommendations are issued in accordance with the work carried out.
• Managing the audit relationship with senior stakeholders and contributing to the organisation wide governance meetings.
• Supporting the team.
You need (min exp)

• Wide and deep experience with expert competence and understanding of insurance /financial services, in particular general business risks, objectives and operational processes.
• Deep controls expertise – not only knowing 'what good looks like' but providing insights that supports Tesco Insurance and Money Services' achieve better control outcomes.
• Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of high-quality Audit and assurance services.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with senior stakeholder exposure, presenting and engaging effectively with the Board and ExCo level colleagues.
• Professional Audit or Accountancy qualifications or other relevant professional qualifications.
