About the Role

Trinity House Group is delighted to partner with West Midlands Employers (WME) to appoint an exceptional Chief Finance Officer & Treasurer.

This is a rare opportunity to take a senior strategic role at the heart of regional public sector finance — influencing key decisions, shaping financial strategy, and driving value for money across a respected not-for-profit organisation.

As a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll lead on corporate budget setting, medium-term financial planning, and the development of robust financial governance frameworks. You'll provide authoritative advice to the Chief Executive and Shareholder Board, ensuring sound financial stewardship, transparency, and accountability across all areas of the organisation.

You'll oversee the annual audit and statutory returns, manage treasury functions and cash flow forecasting, and ensure compliance with financial and procurement regulations — including the new Procurement Act. You'll also play a pivotal role in supporting strategic change, organisational growth, and the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

This position demands a commercially astute and forward-thinking finance leader — someone who can balance strategic vision with operational excellence, develop pricing models for traded services, and support business development for joint funding and partnership projects.

CCAB Qualified Accountant (CIPFA preferred) or equivalent senior finance leadership experience
