Assistant Leakage Technician

We do what we say
That's why we need people like you, to help us deliver on our promises, people who enjoy getting things done.
As an Assistant Leakage Technician, you will play a vital role in protecting both the environment and our customers by helping to prevent water leakage across Anglian Water's network.
You will receive excellent training, use industry-leading technology, and be supported by experienced mentors who will guide you in becoming skilled in the preparation, deployment and collection of sensors used to monitor potential leaks across the water network.
Without your contribution, our water supply could be at risk and customers could be directly impacted – which makes this a truly important and rewarding role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those new to the industry and eager to build a long-term career. The role is entry-level, but with proven pathways for development.
What the role involves:
- Preparing, deploying and collecting leakage monitoring sensors across the water network.
- Travelling to different sites using a fully equipped company van.
- Using water network maps to identify infrastructure and asset locations (full training provided).
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions (PPE provided).
- Occasionally interacting with customers and delivering excellent service when approached (training provided).
We would love to hear from you if…
You are enthusiastic, hardworking and ambitious, with a genuine interest in building a career within the water industry. A willingness to work occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends, will also be important.
As part of the role, you should be fit and able to carry out some lifting, and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions. A positive and adaptable approach will help you thrive in this environment.
Good customer service skills are essential, as you may be approached by members of the public while carrying out your duties. While this is not the main focus of the role, we will provide training to ensure you feel confident in handling these situations.
Finally, a full UK driving licence is required, as you will be travelling to different sites across the network in a fully equipped company vehicle.
