We are currently recruiting for a number of Electricians within the Teesside area. These are key role within an NHS Trust and will be on a temporary to permanent contract.

The post-holder will undertake building installation, maintenance and repair work, to an agreed level, in compliance with industry standards, statutory requirements, relevant codes of practice in a professional and customer-focussed manner, and will workacross the Trust estate, within domestic, commercial and hospital buildings.

Duties will include:

- Interact with the supervisory team and assist in the effective delivery of a quality cost
- Carry out a range of work including but not limited to:

- Completes service and inspection reports, and where necessary, safety notices and compliance certification etc.
- Actively participates in the Facilities Management Information System, providing technical feedback information necessary to operate the system
- Contributes to continual safety and quality improvement activities as part of the team
- Works in accordance with the requirements of HTM-06, (Electrical Services Supply & Distribution) the NHS Electrical Safety Code for Low Voltage Systems, as appointed Competent Person (LV) for the Trust
- Undertakes electrical testing of portable equipment and fixed installations, monitoring results to ensure compliance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671 and requesting remedial works or emergency isolations as and when required
- Carries out electrical work both above and below ground, at heights and in confined spaces. Works in office and clinical environments and occasionally outdoors. Moves materials and equipment. Works on occasions with materials contaminated with process effluentsand sewage. Ensures that work is undertaken at all times in accordance with Health and Safety requirements, maintaining a safe environment for self, colleagues, patients, staff, contractors and visitors to the Trust
- Undertakes Planned Preventative Maintenance work on all building services, plant and equipment across all properties owned or leased by the Trust

Essential skills / qualifications:

- City&Guilds 2351/2330 Craft or Technicians Certificate or NVQ3 or equivalent qualification
- Working knowledge of BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations
