Job Description
Role: Generic Team Leader
District: Doncaster
Location: College Road, Doncaster
Salary: £27,747 - £30,468 (pro rata)
Hours: 21
Contract Type: Temporary for 9 months
In this role you will provide a supervisory role to all administration, clerical, typing, janitorial and driver staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • First level supervision / rostering of allocated staff across a variety of functions.
  • Responsible for the GRS and PDR records of the staff.
  • Deputise for the Admin Support Officer, Business Support Officer or provide temporary cover for colleagues in equivalent Band C Generic Team Leader roles.
  • Recruitment and Selection.
  • Health and Safety in the allocated areas including risk assessment.
  • Project work commensurate with the grade.
  • Produce Management Information to suit local demands.
  • Manage Portal, Atrium, security databases as required.
  • Management of security passes, stop sticks, equipment access codes, Blackberry, Airwave, Lockers, and PAVA.

Skills And Experience

  • Ability to demonstrate experience of clerical duties in an office environment.
  • Experience of using Microsoft applications e.g. MS Word, Excel etc.
  • Ability to supervise a team.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.

Fixed: This is a traditional arrangement, applicable when the work is mostly required to be undertaken at a fixed single place of work (on police premises) for most of the time. The work can only or is more effectively delivered from a police premises or other agreed organisational/partner premises.
