Quality Assurance Assessor

  • Location: Manchester

We are seeking a talented and motivated Quality Assurance Assessor to join our highly skilled team. As a Quality Assurance Assessor, you will be involved in 1st Line assurance within Secured Lending, reviewing our customer interactions and processes, ensuring good customer outcomes are achieved and that our people adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements. This is a unique opportunity to join an industry leading financial brokerage. You will be part a very successful team within the ClearScore Group with a clear strategy for success and growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct end to end quality assurance reviews of secured lending applications, including advice, credit assessments, affordability checks, and compliance with FCA regulations to ensure customers have received a good outcome and that all recommendations are suitable, sustainable and affordable.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed QA checks and actions required to rectify any issues or risks which may have been identified.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality findings and present them to senior management to reduce risk throughout the business and improve processes to enhance business and customer good outcomes.
  • Identify process improvements to drive business efficiencies and enhance customer experience.
  • Support the initial and ongoing supervision and sign off for trainee Advisors.
  • Always follow FCA regulations and company expectations.
  • Support training initiatives to enhance the quality and compliance awareness of team members and build strong relationships with colleagues to assist with their development
  • Assist with call calibration sessions to ensure that quality and compliance are scored accurately and consistently throughout.
  • Identify discrepancies, risks, and areas of improvement in lending processes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with advisors, case managers, management, and other stakeholders to maintain a robust quality framework.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices, ensuring all processes align with the latest standards.

What we expect from you:

  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or similar role within the secured lending or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly those relating to secured lending and consumer credit.
  • Experience of assessing advice activity and completion of Thematic Reviews.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex information and identify trends.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing constructive feedback and ability to build rapport with colleagues.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to achieve quality targets, whilst maintaining optimum performance levels and high work standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with quality assurance tools or software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
