Your New Role
Reporting into the Senior Planning and Performance Manager, you'll work closely with business partners covering Insurance, QBE Re, Asia, North America in addition to the Actuarial, Capital & Risk Management, Reinsurance, Expenses, Underwriting, and wider Finance teams.

You'll be responsible for coordinating the delivery of financial and capital plans, providing insightful management information and analysis, and ensuring accuracy in planning processes. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions and help align financial outcomes with business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual 3-year planning and budgeting process, driving continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with Divisions to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Maintain and update planning models and systems for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop long-term financial plans and analysis to support business priorities.
  • Implement KPI and dashboard reporting suites to provide actionable insights.
  • Analyse recent performance and trends to measure and monitor returns.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance financial performance.
  • Support evaluation of new products and strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate development of management reporting frameworks for effective business oversight.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations with clear logic and robust data support.

About You
We're looking for someone with good financial planning and analysis experience, ideally within insurance or a similar complex environment. You'll combine technical expertise with excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and deliver meaningful insights.

Skills & Experience You'll Need:

  • Moderate experience in planning and performance roles.
  • Significant experience in accounting, planning, and analysis, ideally with exposure to insurance business and regional roles.
  • Experience with MI system implementation preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in Oracle, Hyperion Planning, and advanced Excel (including macros and VBA).
  • Ability to develop and maintain financial models and dashboards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
  • People management experience (nice to have).
  • Fully or nearly qualified accountant with relevant experience, or part-qualified with strong financial background.
  • Experience in accounting or actuarial roles would be advantageous.
