The Role: Operational Compliance Officer
As an Operational Compliance Officer, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding the company's compliance in the ever-evolving financial services industry. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance, you will lead key compliance activities, ensuring Our Client stays ahead of regulatory developments.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Merchant Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on new and existing merchants, assessing risk profiles, reviewing documentation, financials, and business operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Sanctions Checks: Execute detailed sanctions screenings using cutting-edge tools to verify merchant entities and individuals, escalating potential risks or anomalies.
- Ongoing Compliance Support: Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams, addressing compliance queries and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve concerns.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay on top of industry regulations, interpret them for practical application, and ensure the company's policies and procedures align with regulatory expectations.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of due diligence activities, sanctions screenings, and prepare insightful reports for management.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in regulatory compliance within the financial services industry, specifically in operational compliance.
- Expertise: A strong understanding of payment systems and regulatory frameworks for payment institutions and global compliance standards.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Adaptability: A proactive approach to regulatory changes and an ability to implement compliance strategies effectively.
