Hours: Monday to Friday, approx. 7:00–9:00 AM & 2:00–4:00 PM (school term-time only)

We're looking for a caring, reliable Passenger Assistant (PA) to support children and young people on local school transport routes. You'll work alongside a professional driver to ensure passengers are transported safely and comfortably between home and school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist children getting on and off the vehicle safely.

  • Ensure seatbelts and harnesses are secure.

  • Support children with special educational needs (SEN) when required.

  • Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional attitude.

  • Communicate any issues or incidents to the company or school transport team.

Requirements

  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Check (for safeguarding).

  • Safeguarding training (can be provided).

  • Reliable, punctual, and caring with good communication skills.

  • Previous experience in a school or caring role is an advantage, but not essential.

Details

  • Term-time only (Monday to Friday).

  • Split shifts: approx. 7–9 AM and 2–4 PM.

  • Based in Chester and surrounding areas.

  • Paid hourly or per route (rate discussed at interview).
