Role summary:

The Pre-Sales technical engineer is a key part of the work winning process for the commercial sales network. Pre-Sales technical support engineers exist in every region and work together in regional teams to serve the local customer base, offering technical, design and selection advice as well as providing quotations and working closely with the regional sales and operations teams. As a collective the pre sales technical engineers have prime accountability for the level pre-sales tendering and bid management support offered to a wide range of customers seeking support when purchasing any of the commercial sales network solutions.

Skills/Responsibilities:

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Technical product support for a wide range of customers and colleagues
  • Communicating by email, phone and face to face to resolve issues and answer queries
  • Accompanying sales partners on customer visits and calls to enhance work winning capabilities
  • Collectively managing the local pre sales technical inbox to ensure customers get a response within the agreed service level
  • Produce technically and commercially accurate quotations within required response times
  • To strive for continuous improvement, working with your team leader and regional business manager to suggest changes to processes and systems to improve efficiency and service
