Us

Crafted is a series of life-friendly hotels and spaces where guests can be themselves and fill up on the good stuff: nature, food, wellbeing, craft, people and play. We hope to open several hotels in the coming years, with our first coming in summer 2025: Crafted at Powdermills, East Sussex.

We're seeking an exceptional Housekeeper to join our team at Crafted. Reporting to Head Housekeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout guest rooms and public areas. You will help ensure that all guests enjoy a welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully maintained environment during their stay.

That said, as Head Housekeeper, your primary responsibilities will be to:

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to the hotel's high standards.
• Change linens, make beds, replenish guest amenities, and restock supplies.
• Report any maintenance issues or lost property to the relevant department.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and chemicals are used and stored safely and in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Support laundry duties as required, including collecting, cleaning, and distributing linen.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and adapt to changes based on occupancy and guest needs.
• Maintain a professional, polite, and helpful manner with guests and colleagues at all times.
• Assist in deep cleaning tasks during quiet periods or scheduled maintenance times.
• Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards consistently.

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not essential
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping and guest areas.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
