Bridgwater TA, United Kingdom Cumming Group Full time £40,000 - £80,000 per year

Cumming Group is an international project and cost management consultancy delivering innovative solutions in construction, real estate, and infrastructure. With a commitment to collaboration, transparency, and performance excellence, we support some of the world's most respected clients across diverse range of sectors.

About the Role:

We're looking for a proactive and confident Data Analyst to join our consultancy team on a major manufacturing site construction project.

This is client-facing position, embedded on-site and working directly with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key part in gathering, analysing, and presenting data that informs critical decisions across all stages of the construction phase - from design and industrialisation progress to health & safety, risk, and commercial performance.

You'll act as a bridge between the data and the delivery teams, ensuring insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as the on-site data liaison, working closely with client representatives, project managers, and contractors to capture and interpret key performance data.
  • Collate, analyse, and visualise data across all project areas - including health & safety, design progress, industrialisation, risk management, and commercial performance.
  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and performance reports using Smartsheet, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Support regular project reporting cycles by providing clear, data-driven insights that enable better decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple reporting streams.
  • Translate complex datasets into concise, meaningful reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with site leadership teams to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with the wider consultancy team to standardise data collection and reporting methods across the project.
  • Present findings confidently in client meetings and contribute to discussions on project performance and strategic direction.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst within a construction, engineering, or manufacturing project environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Smartsheet (preferred), Power BI, and advanced Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation).
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present insights directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of project delivery data, including health & safety metrics, risk registers, design progress, and commercial reporting.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple data streams simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical, real-world application.
  • Comfortable working on-site within a live construction environment.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to operate effectively in a consultancy capacity.

Cumming Group is committed to creating a diverse workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All job applicants will receive equal treatment without regard to age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, "race" (includes nationality, national / ethnic origins, colour) marriage & civil partnership, pregnancy & maternity, gender reassignment, religion and belief.
