Here's what the job would look like:

We are looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to join and challenge our dynamic team You will be responsible for various operational matters and support the Operations Manager in their daily tasks. Together, you will lead and coordinate the hotel's activities with a special focus on guest and team satisfaction. In the absence of the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the hotel and decision making.

What we are looking for:

As a key member of the team, we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and commercial individual whose sole focus is ensuring a smooth operational process. You will have proven experience in a supervisory role with strong leadership skills where you will inspire and develop teams.

Being skilled in delegation and multi-tasking is essential. You will contribute to the overall operation of the hotel by having a high level of presence within the business, completing operational management shifts and deputising for the Operations Manager in their absence.

Operations supervision;

  • Managing the operational teams, housekeeping and guest service
  • Drive profitability through effective cost control and proactive cost saving initiatives
  • Act as housekeeping supervisor
  • Ensuring smooth day to day running of the business, allocating daily tasks to guest service assistant, maintaining standards and leading by example.
  • Ensures good communication between departments, suppliers and guests
  • Ensure the adherence to group policies and established operating procedures.
  • Maintains good functioning of the hotel, being proactive on maintenance, and liaising with maintenance manager for daily issues and/or requests
  • Assists team as needed such as covering reception and housekeeping
  • Review rotas alongside Ops Mgr, ensuring they adhere to budget and business needs
  • Support and coordinate the on-site inductions
  • Participate in the creation of a positive work environment, ensuring a high employee engagement and optimising the employee retention
  • Support the Operations Manager with admin tasks such as regular reporting, management of inventory, orders, and purchases
  • As tasked by the Operations Manager – undertake tasks and monitor to maintain compliance throughout the hotel

Guest Experience:

  • Ensure the services delivered are always in line with agreed principles
  • In cooperation with the Operations Manager, handle and provide adequate solutions to complaints, team issues, and general hotel issues
