Horizons Residential Care is a well-established residential childcare provider based in the East Coast of Scotland and has been providing therapeutic residential childcare service since 2013. Horizons provide, as a standard, a staffing ratio of 1:1 (10am - 10pm) with passionate, competent, and confident team members to support our young people with complex and sometimes challenging behaviours. Our young people may present with a range of social, emotional and physical needs. Therefore the specialised and therapeutic care we provide requires to be person centred.

About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the House Manager in the efficient running of the residential home. You will largely be responsible for assisting the House Manager in the efficient operational management of the house as well as providing excellent care to the children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of staff and providing support to colleagues when necessary.
- Assisting the House Manager in operational management.
- Highlighting training needs, supervision, and rota management.
- Contributing to efficiency drives of the Organisation.
- Undergoing an intensive programme of Induction and Training upon successful recruitment.
Qualifications
- SVQ3 Children and Young People and HNC Health and Social Care.
- Willingness to work towards an SVQ 4 and Leadership and Management.
Required Skills
- Clean Driving Licence.
- Relevant Experience in the Residential Childcare Sector in a supervisory role.
- Able to work unsocial hours, including Weekend and perform on-call duties.
- Working hours- You will be working 40 hours per week.
- Passionate about working with young people and wanting to bring positive impact in the house.
Preferred Skills
- Ambitious attitude and willing to work towards meeting Set Targets and Goals.
- Able to work in a team and motivate others.
Pay range and compensation package
Hourly Rate for Assistant Managers is in the range of £14.50 to £18.00. Approx. Salary Range- £30,880 - £38,160 per annum. Experienced and Fully Qualified (HNC, SVQ3, SVQ4) applicants will be on the following Pay Rate: a minimum £16 per hour, equivalent to an Annual Salary Approx. £34,000.
