Our newly opened care home in Derby, Kingsway View is seeking Senior Night Care Assistant to join us on this exciting new journey. Providing residential, respite, dementia and nursing care, with 80 state-of-the-art rooms for residents to reside in, spacious dining and lounge areas, an on-site café, floor-to-ceiling windows, and so much more, we are excited to be bringing this opportunity to Derby

With the desire to always improve and develop their staff skillset, you will be encouraged to progress and develop skills, qualifications and training with the support of the company, so no experience is required

What you will receive as a Senior Night Care Assistant;

  • £13.66 per hour
  • Full-time, permanent contract
  • 38.5 hours per week on a rolling 6-week rota
  • 12 hours shifts, 3 on 3 off, 8pm-8am
  • Derby-based with fantastic transport links - DE22 3ZB

What you will be doing as a Senior Night Care Assistant;

  • Assist residents with the activities of daily living and personal care
  • Supervise a team of carers, providing support and assistance where required
  • Act as a role model for other care staff in respect of day-to-day activities
  • Provide support at meal times
  • Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
  • Responsible for daily medication rounds, ensuring records are maintained
  • Interacting with, and encouraging residents to socialise and take part in activities

What you will need to be successful as a Senior Night Care Assistant;

  • Experience working within a caring environment
  • Hold or be willing to work towards L3 in Health and Social Care
  • The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcomed and comfortable
  • Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
  • Willingness to develop new skills
