Role Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time E-commerce Marketplace Specialist to join our team (approximately 20 hours per week, hybrid work arrangement in the UK). In this role, you will support ATLAS in managing and growing our clients' presence on various online marketplaces and e-commerce platforms. You will be responsible for handling large product catalogs, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing listings across channels like Amazon, Zalando, ASOS, John Lewis, Debenhams, and others. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel (including VLOOKUP, formulas, and pivot tables) and has hands-on experience with marketplace integration tools (e.g. Mirakl, ChannelEngine, ChannelAdvisor). A background in digital marketing (advertising, email marketing, Shopify websites) is a strong plus, as the role may also involve supporting online advertising campaigns and website merchandising.

This is a freelancer contract position (approx. £1,500 per month) with the possibility of extension. You will be an integral part of the ATLAS team, working closely with our marketplace growth managers and clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Marketplace Catalog Management: Manage and optimize product listings across multiple e-commerce marketplaces. Ensure accurate upload, update, and content optimization for product catalogs on each platform. This includes handling large data sets (hundreds of SKUs) and maintaining data quality (titles, descriptions, pricing, images, etc.).
  • Integrations & Data Sync: Oversee integrations between our product information systems (PIM, Shopify, ChannelEngine/Mirakl, etc.) and marketplaces to guarantee smooth data flow. Transform and prepare bulk product data (via Excel or CSV) for import/export to various channels.
  • Compliance & Listing Quality: Ensure all listings meet each marketplace's requirements and guidelines (e.g., Zalando, Amazon, Mirakl-based platforms). Proactively fix catalogue hygiene issues, such as listing errors or feed rejections, to shorten time-to-live for new products.
  • Inventory and Pricing Coordination: Work with our operations team and 3PL partners to keep inventory levels in sync and reduce out-of-stock situations. Update pricing and monitor price ladders across channels, maintaining competitive positioning while protecting margins.
  • Advertising & Promotion Support: Assist in setting up and managing marketplace advertising campaigns (e.g. Amazon Sponsored Products, Zalando Ads) and promotions. Monitor campaign performance (ROAS, ACOS/TACOS) and suggest Support any affiliate marketing or Google Ads initiatives for our D2C site as needed.
  • E-commerce Site Merchandising: Collaborate on the day-to-day trading of our Shopify-powered site ). This includes updating collections, launching new products or seasonal content, managing out-of-stock items, and executing on-site promotions to maintain a strong conversion rate.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor key performance metrics across marketplaces (sales, returns, conversion, buy-box win rate, etc.) and generate weekly trading reports. Analyze SKU and size-level sales trends to inform stock and assortment decisions. Provide actionable insights to improve revenue and reduce aged stock levels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the ATLAS team and client's wholesale, logistics, and customer service departments to ensure a consistent strategy. Act as a point of contact for marketplace account managers when technical or operational issues arise, helping to resolve any incidents in orders, shipments, or returns.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in e-commerce operations or marketplace management, preferably handling major marketplaces like Amazon, Zalando, or similar. Experience working with fashion/apparel products is a plus but not required.
  • Marketplace Tools: Hands-on experience with marketplace integrators or CMS platforms such as Mirakl, ChannelEngine, ChannelAdvisor, Shopify, etc. is required. Familiarity with product information management systems and data feeds for large catalogs will be beneficial.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills are a must – including proficiency with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables and complex formulas for data Ability to manipulate and validate large datasets accurately is critical.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical abilities to interpret sales data and KPIs, identify trends, and propose data-driven actions. Keen attention to detail in spotting errors or inconsistencies in product data, pricing, and content.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working with various e-commerce platforms and learning new software tools. Ability to troubleshoot basic integration issues and coordinate with IT/dev teams if custom solutions are needed.
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: (Preferred) Understanding of online advertising and digital marketing channels. Experience with PPC campaigns (e.g., Amazon Ads, Google Ads) or email marketing platforms is a plus, as the role may involve collaboration with marketing initiatives.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken). Able to work effectively in a remote/distributed team and liaise with multiple stakeholders (logistics partners, customer service, brand managers, etc.) to drive results.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science or related field is advantageous, or equivalent experience in a relevant
