We are seeking a skilled both a HGV Mechanic and a Car & Van Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various automotive systems. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and performance of our vehicles, providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining the highest standards of quality in repairs and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and assembly tasks.
- Perform equipment repair and welding as needed to ensure vehicle integrity.
- Assist customers with queries regarding their vehicle's condition and required services, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while handling various automotive components.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical documents.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience in maintenance practices and equipment repair is essential.
- Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.
