Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Chef to join our culinary team at our restaurant. The Line Chef will be responsible for preparing meals according to our menu and recipes, ensuring high-quality and delicious dishes are served to our customers. This is a fast-paced environment that requires excellent culinary skills and attention to detail. There is also an opportunity to live on site if this is required.
Duties:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality
Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages to the Head Chef
Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and sanitized
Adhere to all food safety standards and regulations
Assist with cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new dishes and specials
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Line Chef or relevant role in a restaurant or culinary setting
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
Familiarity with food safety regulations
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
