Smoke & Salt is an award-winning South London restaurant. We opened our new venue in Tooting during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and we're now looking to expand the team on our quest to be the best restaurant in South London.

We're looking for a team player who genuinely loves the hospitality industry. We'd love to work with someone with experience in a similar role and at a similar level of establishment, but most of all we're after someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and hard-working. We offer a paid trial so don't hesitate to come and see if this could be the ideal chef job for you.

The role of Chef would suit a strong Chef de Partie - someone who has has had some kitchen experience and is looking to learn the ropes to running a kitchen. We are a small kitchen team at Smoke & Salt and we require the ideal candidate to be passionate about the job. Strong timekeeping, a good palate and precise knife skills are a must as well as a knowledge of HACCP and Food safety procedures. We require the ideal candidate to have an excellent grasp of spoken and written English. However, the most important thing is that you should be willing and open to learn new things every day.

The ideal candidate will be reporting directly to the owners of Smoke & Salt and so this is a great opportunity for someone to learn how to open and manage a restaurant as we strive to be transparent as possible within the company. We're hoping to hire someone who's willing to become an integral part of the business and grow alongside us as we look to increase and expand our brand in the future.
