Brighton BN SB, United Kingdom Sensor Access Technology Full time £27,000 - £32,000 per year

About Us

Established in 1999, Sensor Access is a leading UK supplier of integrated access control systems and locking hardware. Our product portfolio includes GuardPoint10 software, biometric readers, UHF long-range readers, controllers, and mobile credential solutions. We also provide seamless integration with third-party systems such as CCTV, alarms, and visitor management platforms.

With over two decades of expertise, we deliver elegant, user-friendly, and secure solutions to clients ranging from small businesses to global enterprises.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Assistant to join our small, dynamic team. The role primarily involves handling technical queries from installers and integration partners (software and hardware), as well as contributing to other aspects of the business as required.

You will play an important part in maintaining our reputation for excellent support, speaking confidently with installers by phone and providing training on our systems, while collaborating with colleagues across departments. This role is based at our Brighton office (no remote working at present, though this may be reviewed in the future).

Applicants will be expected to work in office and live locally.

Responsibilities

· Promptly addressing installer software/hardware support queries via phone, email, and helpdesk ticket.

· Providing clear, confident support over the phone as a first point of contact for installers and integration partners.

· Collaborating with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

· Helping to produce technical documentation and instructional videos for installers (setup, troubleshooting, and feature demonstrations).

· Offering exceptional customer service and contributing to our knowledge base.

· Assisting with other aspects of the business as needed, reflecting the flexibility required in a small company.

Longer-Term Opportunities

· Support the design, training, and monitoring of a support chatbot to triage inbound queries and improve first-response times.

· Delivering training sessions for installers (remote and onsite) to ensure they can effectively deploy and support our systems.

Desirable Skills & Experience

· Prior experience in a customer-facing technical support role, ideally supporting installers or technical partners.

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and fault diagnosis.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Servers.

· Familiarity with IT networks (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).

· Experience with MS SQL (Management Studio).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Awareness of cybersecurity in access control systems (encryption, GDPR compliance).

· Experience with or interest in chatbot/conversational AI tools (beneficial for future projects).

· Knowledge of access control or security systems (beneficial but not essential).
